Why Cold Water Matters
Cold water washing preserves the natural fibers of organic fabrics and helps maintain their structure and color. Hot water can cause natural materials to shrink, fade, or become damaged over time.
Always use cold or lukewarm water (below 30°C or 86°F) when cleaning organic curtains and blinds. This gentle approach extends the life of your window treatments while keeping them looking fresh.
Proper Washing Technique
Before washing, check care labels and remove any hardware or hooks. Use a gentle cycle with cold water and avoid overloading your washing machine to prevent excessive agitation.
For delicate organic fabrics, consider hand washing in a basin with cold water. Gently agitate the fabric and avoid wringing or twisting, which can damage natural fibers.
